A HOME WITH A STORY TO TELL
Built in 1890 for Dr. James T. Van Horne and his wife, the home was originally known as Van Horne Manor and remained a private residence for more than a century. Its original columns, stained glass, hardwood floors, wood-paneled ceilings, fireplaces, and “VHM” ironwork still carry that history into every gathering and stay.

Sparrow Grove accommodates up to 200 guests. We’ll help you explore how the spaces can work for your celebration during your tour.
Yes, you can choose your own vendors. They will need to attend the final walk-through to become familiar with the property. A wedding planner is required to coordinate your wedding.
A tent is required for single-day weddings and is arranged through Sparrow Grove. For celebrations of 50 guests or more, the tent serves as the rain plan. We’ll discuss sizing, accessories, and current rental costs with you.
Yes. You can book a stay at the inn for a getaway or a visit to Monroe. Our four suites each have a king-sized bed and private bathroom. Check room availability, or ask us about including guest suites in your wedding plans.
